We are a group of students interested in issues related to developmental and international health. SANTÉ is connected to other Global Health Groups around Australia via the Australian Medical Student’s Association Global Health Network (http://www.ghn.amsa.org.au/).

&lt;p&gt;SANTE has accomplished a lot this year (Red party, Run To The Water etc) and we would like to round this year off with a successful Annual General Meeting. The meeting will involve the following:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;FREE PIZZA - MDA NATIONAL has kindly decided to sponsor pizza for the event, so you will be fed!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;GUEST SPEAKER - One of our very own lecturers, Ms. Robyn Preston, will be giving us a brief talk about the &amp;#8220;Socially Accountable Medical Training Network&amp;#8221;. JCU School of Medicine is part of this network and this talk will give you a greater insight into this wonderful initiative.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;YEARLY DEBRIEF - Short comment from our President, AMSA global representative and Treasurer in regards to&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2010 ELECTION - There are many opportunities for those of you who are interested in leadership positions in our fine organization. We have included some new positions for next year. For full position descriptions, I&amp;#8217;ve attached a document to this email. Email michael.mclaughlin@jcu.edu.au if you are interested. All Expressions of interest MUST BE IN BY FRIDAY the 15th of OCTOBER.  &lt;/p&gt;

Congratulations to Michael on a great achievement!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It is also caps off what has been a stellar year for SANTE, with substantial growth in membership, student involvement and money raised for our projects. With your help, we are looking forward to even more grass roots action in 2011.&lt;/p&gt;
